The better your foundation in the Word of God is, the more successful you will be as a Christian. It’s a bold statement, I know, but it’s true. The more confidence and trust we have in God, the more He can move in our lives. God is faithful to His promises, and He needs you to believe that they will come to pass in your life, no matter how long it may take.
How do you build a strong root system? By feeding on the Word daily.
In Jeremiah 17, the one who trusts in God plants his tree with water.
Roots need water to survive. God’s Word is water to your flesh. His Word nourishes and ministers to you.
By engaging with the Word of God and seeking a deep connection with Him, individuals can completely immerse themselves in His essence and all-encompassing nature.
In the same manner that the roots of a tree take in water, we take in God. We take in and comprehend His Word. We experience the presence and power of Him. It becomes ingrained within us.
Make spending time with God part of your daily routine. Grow stronger daily, and when the storms of life hit, you will be firmly grounded, your foundation secure, and you will not fall.
Matthew 13 says, And he told them many things in parables, saying, “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose, they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away.”
Jeremiah 17 says, Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.
The time has come to establish profound connections with Him, abolish fear and anxiety, and consistently yield fruitful results.
